The Artemide Group is one of the global leaders of the residential illumination sector and high end professionals. Situated at Pregnana Milanese, the Artemide Group has an ample international distribution presence in which the single brand showrooms sprouts in the most important cities in the world and the "shop in shop" in the most prestigious illumination and furniture shops.
Founded in 1960s, Artemide is one of the most known illumination brands in the world. Known for its "The Human Light" philosophy, Artemide is nowadays synonym with design, innovation and made in Italy.
History.
Founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi, President, the Artemide Group is based in Pregnana Milanese and operates through 24 controlled and related companies and a distribution network that includes almost 60 single-brand showrooms in major cities all around the world. The Artemide products are distributed in 83 different Countries. With 5 manufacturing plants in Italy, France, Hungary, and the US, 2 glassworks, and 2 R&D facilities in Italy and in France, the Group currently employs about 700 units, including 59 involved in R&D activities, thus confirming the primary role of innovation as a key factor for the Group’s success.

Research and testing on lighting concept, innovation and technology in light control and management, great attention to environmentally sustainable materials and, in general, to ecological requirements, and a deep-rooted devotion to design are values which distinguish Artemide and represent the ideas on which his products are based.
Research centre.
In the heart of this activity is the Giacinto Gismondi centre of innovation in Pregnana Milanese. With it optics division, electronics projects, materials and luminary sources, the centre develops and sharpens every new product from concept to industrial production, in order to guarantee best results in regards to quality and international standards.
Some of the latest lines of products with hi-end technology developed at the innovation centre are the range of lamps with LED light sources, the Metamorforsi range and the MY WHITE LIGHT range.
